Our Journey continues to Gander, Newfoundland, where we will take a charter flight (not included) to Fogo Island. Nestled off the northeast coast of Newfoundland, Fogo Island is renowned for its rugged beauty and seafaring history. Named for the fires observed by passing sailors, Fogo Island is situated along “Iceberg Alley,” offering stunning views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Experience unparalleled luxury at the Fogo Island Inn, uniquely perched on stilts overlooking the dramatic coastline, ensuring every guest enjoys breathtaking floor-to-ceiling vistas of the sea and sky.

The following day brings ocean adventures aboard MV Island Explorer with Captain Tony and crew. Explore Little Fogo Islands, an abandoned fishing community, observe whales, and encounter colonies of puffins, razorbills, and other seabirds in their natural habitat.

The final day at this destination is for you to relax or explore on your own. An excursion per day is included in your stay so choose from a variety of optional activities tailored to your interests. Engage in boat building with a local artisan, embark on a full-day nature hike, participate in art workshops, join a guided geology hike, or enjoy a leisurely harbor row.

St. Pierre, Saint Pierre and Miquelon

After our short return charter flight to Gander, fly your airplane to the charming St Pierre, a hidden gem in the French archipelago of St. Pierre and Miquelon. Upon arrival, we will transfer to Terrasses du Port. This accommodation, nestled by the harbor, offers stunning views and warm hospitality, making it the perfect property for our exploration. From the moment of arrival, the island’s tranquil atmosphere and colorful village streets invite us to slow down and soak in the unique blend of French culture and unspoiled natural beauty.

The next day, we will explore Sailor’s Island by boat, where remnants of its fishing and pioneer history are visible in the church, school, and cemetery. We will visit the Archipelitude Museum and Arch Museum, followed by lunch at the heritage-listed Maison Jézéquel, a traditional fisherman’s home with exhibits on the island’s fishing culture. Afterwards, we will sail back to St. Pierre, enjoying breathtaking views of moss-covered cliffs, puffins nesting along the coast, and seals sunbathing in hidden coves.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Fly over Canada’s rugged granite coast adorned with picturesque lighthouses. Touch down in Halifax for a stay at the Muir, Autograph Collection, centrally located on the vibrant Halifax waterfront, offering elevated hospitality that reflects the essence of Nova Scotia’s spirit and culture.

Your Journey continues to St. John, where we will transfer to St. Andrews by-the-Sea and check in to the historic Algonquin Resort for the next three nights. Enjoy the resort’s charm and elegance before coming together for a delightful group dinner.

On the following day, embrace the tranquility of the coastline and the exhilarating ocean breeze. Experience the world’s highest tides with a thrilling whale and wildlife-watching tour on the Bay of Fundy. Encounter magnificent creatures such as Finback, Minke, and Humpback whales, alongside porpoises, dolphins, and seals in their natural habitat.

The final day in this destination invites you to unwind and explore at your own pace. Utilize your leisure day to discover the town’s delights, with your Journey Director on hand to assist in planning activities tailored to your preferences.
