Kangerlussuaq, Greenland

Fly over Canada’s vast forests and numerous lakes on the way to Kangerlussuaq in western Greenland. At Kangerlussuaq, check out the Kangerlussuaq Museum, which showcases the town’s past as a U.S. airbase during WWII. Afterward, enjoy an overnight stay to prepare for tomorrow’s flight.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Our scenic flight across the Atlantic continues to Reykjavik, Iceland. Staying in the heart of the city overlooking the picturesque square of Austurvollur, we are within walking distance of Reykjavik’s iconic landmarks such as Hallgrímskirkja, the striking church that dominates the city skyline, and Althingi, the national parliament, one of the oldest existing parliaments in the world.

The next morning, we will embark on a thrilling Super Jeep tour. We’ll visit Thingvellir National Park, marvel at Lyngdalsheioi’s lava fields, watch Strokkur geyser erupt at Haukadalur, and end at the stunning Gullfoss waterfall. We will finish our day with an excursion to the renowned Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s most iconic attraction. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, the Blue Lagoon is a testament to the healing powers of geothermal seawater. Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in the soothing waters, experiencing a unique blend of wellness and beauty amidst Iceland’s extreme volcanic environment.

Stockholm, Sweden

Embark on an exciting journey as we fly our airplanes to Stockholm, a city steeped in history and tradition. Our destination is the renowned Grand Hotel Stockholm, which boasts over 130 years of heritage and occupies a prestigious waterfront location overlooking the Royal Palace and Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s old town. This timeless classic has played a pivotal role in shaping Stockholm into the cosmopolitan city it is today, hosting illustrious guests including Nobel Prize laureates, royalty, heads of state, and artists since 1901.

Our exploration of Stockholm continues with a guided city tour led by a local expert. Venturing into the Kungsholmen district, we’ll admire 18th to 20th-century architecture, including City Hall, where the Nobel Prize Award dinners are held annually. Our Journey continues with a three-day stay in Prague, Czech Republic. On our first day, we will be delighted by the breathtaking sights of Prague, a city renowned for its Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, and Art Nouveau architecture. As the Vltava River winds through the “city of a hundred spires,” prepare to be enchanted by its lively atmosphere and rich cultural heritage, rooted in centuries of literary, musical, and architectural innovation.

Day two invites you to explore Prague’s treasures, beginning with a captivating full-day tour. Marvel at the grandeur of Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world, perched atop the city’s highest hill. Admire the towering St. Vitus Cathedral, a masterpiece that took six centuries to complete, housing the crown jewels and relics of Bohemian Kings. Delve into Prague’s storied past as you uncover its rich cultural and architectural legacy.

On day three, the choice is yours to unwind at your leisure or venture out to discover more of Prague’s historical wonders. Our journey continues to Croatia, where we will fly to Zadar, park our planes, and take a short drive to the port for a boat transfer to Dugi Otok Island. We will be staying at Villa Nai 3.3, a luxurious hotel situated in the heart of the Adriatic Sea. This exclusive accommodation is ideally located between Venice and Dubrovnik and is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Mediterranean. As the second smallest hotel in the Leading Hotels of the World, it is close to the exquisite cliffs of Telašćica Nature Park, the beautiful islands of Kornati National Park, and Zadar, which boasts some of the most stunning sunsets on the Adriatic.

On the second day, embark on a captivating boat tour through the pristine waters of the Adriatic Sea surrounding Dugi Otok. The tour will take you to hidden coves and secluded beaches, perfect for a swim in the crystal-clear waters. Explore the dramatic cliffs and serene lagoons of Telašćica Nature Park, where you can witness the rich biodiversity and natural beauty of the area. Continuing our journey, we arrive in Tbilisi, Georgia, and transfer to the captivating urban sanctuary of Stamba Hotel, where modern elegance meets historic charm amidst the vibrant cityscape.

The following day, we venture beyond Tbilisi’s city limits on an enriching cultural excursion. Our day begins with a scenic drive to the 6th-century Jvari Monastery, perched atop a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. We then explore the historic city of Mtskheta, visiting the sacred Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, home to the Robe of Christ. After our cultural exploration, we indulge in a delightful wine tasting and lunch at Chateau Mukhrani or Guramishvili’s Winery, featuring Khinkali dumplings and a Churchkhela sweet-making master class.

Continuing our adventure, we dedicate a full day to exploring Tbilisi’s rich history, vibrant culture, and captivating architecture. In the Old Town, we stroll through cobbled streets, marveling at iconic Georgian houses and the ancient Anchiskhati Basilica, before ascending Narikala Fortress for a panoramic view. After lunch, choose between an optional visit to the Georgian National Museum or leisure time before our evening farewell dinner atop Mtatsminda hill, where fine Georgian wines accompany our meal.

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

Continuing our journey, we arrive in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, and transfer to the exquisite oasis of Yyldyz Hotel. Our journey continues to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where we transfer to the Hyatt Regency Dushanbe, an esteemed 5-star luxury destination conveniently located in the city center near City Park and Lake Javonon. Reflecting the distinct flavor of Tajikistan, the property offers generously sized rooms and suites adorned with local design elements.

Our exploration of Dushanbe begins with a visit to the renowned Novruz Teahouse, famed for its unique exterior design. We then proceed to Rudaki Park and Independence Park before venturing outside the city to the picturesque Varzob gorge, a short drive away. Jaipur, India

Today marks our flight to Jaipur, India, where we’ll be transferred to the majestic Rambagh Palace, our luxurious abode for the next three nights. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur’s walls were painted pink in 1876 as a symbol of hospitality towards visiting dignitaries, including Queen Victoria of England and the Prince of Wales.

Our exploration begins with Jaipur’s main attractions. We visit the iconic Hawa Mahal, or “Palace of the Winds,” renowned for its intricately carved windows designed for the palace’s ladies to observe street life unnoticed. Next, we delve into the 16th-century Amber Fort, touring its chambers, hallways, and the impressive Ganesh Pol Gateway adorned with images of the elephant-headed god. The fusion of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles is evident throughout, notably in the Charbagh garden’s harmonious landscaping.

The following day, our adventure unfolds with a full-day tour of Ajmer and Pushkar, departing from Jaipur. The next leg of our Journey takes us to Skukuza, South Africa. We will park our planes and take a short drive to Kruger National Park, where we will stay aboard a luxurious train permanently stationed on the historically rich Shalati Bridge above the Sabie River. This unique accommodation combines Africa’s most breathtaking natural splendors with the luxuries of a train reminiscent of African excellence, paying homage to guests who explored the park nearly 100 years ago.

On the second day, embark on a thrilling game drive in open 4×4 safari vehicles or relax aboard the train. Your stay includes all meals, daily tea and coffee, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, as well as two game drives daily in open safari vehicles.

The third day is at your leisure to relax or explore on your own. The next day, we embark on a full-day tour to explore some of Cape Town’s most renowned attractions. The journey continues to Cape Point Nature Reserve and Kirstenbosch Gardens, inviting us to take in the breathtaking vistas of Cape Point, as well as the beauty of The Cape of Good Hope. Our journey continues as we depart from Livingstone and fly to Walvis Bay, Namibia. From there, we will take a local charter flight to Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, nestled against the ancient mountains and offering luxurious accommodations with stunning views of the Namib Desert. This sophisticated desert retreat promises a truly exceptional experience.

The following day, embark on an exhilarating quad bike adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Namibia. Feel the thrill as you navigate the vast, undulating dunes of the Namib Desert, where golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see. Our journey begins with a flight to Maun, followed by a local charter flight to Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. The lodge features indulgent tented rooms designed for optimal game spotting, offering elevated private decks where guests can observe wildebeest, zebra, and elephants. Guests can also relax in a hammock as wildlife saunters by. Daily morning and afternoon game drives in 4×4 vehicles allow for up-close encounters with Africa’s incredible animals.

We will transfer by helicopter to One&Only Gorilla’s Nest. Cushioned in the foothills of the breathtaking Virunga Volcano Range along the northwestern frontier of beautiful Rwanda, the Gorilla’s Nest is the closest resort to Volcanoes National Park. It makes the magical possible as you enjoy a one-in-a-lifetime, personal encounter with the rare and majestic mountain gorilla, roaming free in their own natural habitat.

An exhilarating trek in the footsteps of the rare and critically endangered mountain gorilla – the largest living primate on earth – starts in the dramatic scenery of the Virunga foothills. Our Journey continues as we fly on to Rome. Set in the Old City of Rome, close to the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese, the luxury Hotel Eden offers the feel of a private home and a rooftop restaurant providing panoramic views of St. Peter’s Dome and the Eternal City. Situated within a historic building dating back to 1889 and completely renovated in 2017, the hotel is steps from some of the city’s top attractions.

Our Journey continues to Shannon, Ireland, where the adventure begins with a transfer to the quaint village of Adare. Nestled in the lush heartlands of Limerick County, Adare Manor and Golf Resort awaits, its 840-acre demesne steeped in history and surrounded by medieval ruins. Day one invites exploration of beautiful parklands, trout fishing on the river Maigue, and a renowned 18-hole championship golf course.

Day two offers leisure and discovery amidst the expansive 350-acre Adare Manor Estate. Engage in a variety of activities from horse riding, fishing, and falconry to modern pursuits like golf, cycling, and kayaking. We will transfer to the airport for our departure to Reykjavik.

Upon arrival, luxury accommodations await us at Hotel Borg, situated in the very center of Reykjavik. This prime location allows us to experience the city’s vivid nightlife and fantastic restaurant scene, where creative chefs offer a culinary Journey like no other. We will have the perfect setting to unwind and prepare ourselves for our upcoming flight.

The following day after breakfast and an informative briefing, we will bid farewell and begin our individual paths back home as our journey comes to an end. En route, we’ll make two technical stops in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland and Goose Bay, Canada to refuel before continuing onwards to Bangor, Maine, to clear US Customs. For those based on the west coast of the United States, an alternate stop to clear US customs can be arranged. Afterward, we will all go our separate ways home.
