Halifax, Canada

Welcome to Halifax! Air Journey staff will greet you at the Muir, Autograph Collection. Located in the absolute centre of down- town in the vibrant Halifax waterfront, in the heart of the new Queen’s Marque district, Muir offers elevated hospitality inspired by the spirit, culture and natural beauty of Nova Scotia.

All participants will meet for introductions and attend an extensive briefing covering the general procedures of our journey as well as details for tomorrow’s departure.

Afterwards, we will gather for a welcome cocktail before dinner.

Nuuk, Greenland

Fly over Canada’s vast forests and numerous lakes on the way to Kuujjuaq in northern Canada for a technical stop. Then, continue over the beautiful scenery of southern Greenland before landing at Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. Afterward, we will transfer to Hotel Hans Egede, enjoy a group dinner, and get ready for our flight tomorrow.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Our scenic flight across the Atlantic continues to Reykjavik, Iceland. Staying in the heart of the city overlooking the picturesque square of Austurvollur, we are within walking distance of Reykjavik’s iconic landmarks such as Hallgrímskirkja, the striking church that dominates the city skyline, and Althingi, the national parliament, one of the oldest existing parliaments in the world.

After a leisure morning in town, we will embark on an excursion to the renowned Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s most iconic attraction. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, the Blue Lagoon is a testament to the healing powers of geothermal seawater. Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in the soothing waters, experiencing a unique blend of wellness and beauty amidst Iceland’s extreme volcanic environment.

Champagne, France

Our Journey continues to the enchanting landscapes of France as we arrive in Champagne, a region renowned for its exquisite wines and scenic beauty. Our destination is the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa, a luxurious retreat nestled amidst the sprawling vineyards that define the region’s charm.

The next day we will embark on an unforgettable Champagne tour in the heart of the Champagne region. Our experience begins at the iconic Veuve Clicquot estate, where you’ll explore the historic cellars and learn about Madame Clicquot’s pioneering techniques. Discover the art of Champagne making as you wander through the chalky tunnels and enjoy exclusive tastings of Veuve Clicquot’s finest Champagnes. Afterward, we’ll visit other renowned Champagne houses, guided by local experts. Stroll through picturesque vineyards and historic cellars, savoring the unique flavors and aromas of meticulously crafted Champagnes. Each tasting will highlight the region’s exceptional heritage and expertise.

On day three, the day is yours to savor at your leisure. Whether you choose to relax amidst the luxurious amenities of the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa or venture out to explore the charming villages and scenic landscapes of Champagne, the possibilities are endless. Bordeaux, France

Fly to Bordeaux, France, a region renowned as one of the most famous and visited in the country. From the top of our beautiful village, we will discover a dazzling panorama, including the ancestral vines of Saint-Émilion, a magnificent wine-growing landscape and the first to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, we will transfer to Hôtel de Pavie, our home for the next three days.

On day two, we will indulge in a luxurious wine tasting experience at Château Pavie, nestled in the heart of Bordeaux. As we explore the historic vineyards, we’ll be guided through a selection of their finest wines, each embodying the rich terroir of Saint-Émilion. We’ll savor the complex flavors of world-renowned vintages while learning about the estate’s deep-rooted winemaking traditions. The breathtaking views of the rolling vineyards, combined with the elegance of the château, will create an unforgettable journey into Bordeaux’s winemaking excellence.

The following day, we will discover the charm of Saint-Émilion on a half-day tour through this UNESCO World Heritage village. We’ll begin by exploring the cobbled streets, lined with centuries-old architecture and quaint boutiques. We’ll visit the stunning monolithic church, carved from limestone, and learn about the town’s rich history. As we wander through the village, we’ll be captivated by the panoramic views of the picturesque vineyards that stretch across the rolling hills, making this a memorable journey into the heart of French heritage.

Douro Valley, Portugal

We will continue our adventure to Porto, Portugal, where we’ll be transported to the enchanting Rebello Hotel & Spa. Perched on the banks of the Douro River, this luxurious retreat seamlessly blends contemporary elegance with the rich history of its surroundings. With stunning views of the iconic Porto skyline and the serene waters below, The Rebello offers an idyllic escape in the heart of this
vibrant city.

Day two invites us to discover the splendor of Porto and the Douro Valley, renowned for their magnificent vineyards and world-class wines. Delight in VIP tours and tastings at prestigious wineries, where expert winemakers will guide us through the winemaking process and introduce us to the rich flavors of the region’s renowned ports and reds. Later, embark on a leisurely cruise along the picturesque Douro River, admiring the steep terraced vineyards and hacienda-style wineries that line its shores.

On day three, the day is yours to savor at your leisure. Whether you choose to relax and unwind amidst the luxurious surroundings of The Rebello Hotel & Spa or venture out to explore the charming streets and historic sites of Porto, the possibilities are endless. Indulge in leisurely walks along the river, savoring the beauty of the city, or immerse yourself in local culture and cuisine. Colmar, France

For the next leg of our Journey, we will spend three enchanting days in Colmar, France, staying at the charming L’Esquisse Hotel & Spa. Nestled in the heart of this picturesque Alsatian town, our hotel offers a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional charm. Upon arrival, we will settle into our elegant accommodations and take some time to explore the vibrant streets of Colmar, known for its colorful half-timbered houses and scenic canals.

On the second day, we will embark on a delightful winery tour, where we’ll explore the renowned Alsace wine region. We’ll visit local vineyards, learn about the unique winemaking process, and, of course, enjoy tastings of the region’s finest wines, including crisp Rieslings and aromatic Gewürztraminers. This immersive experience will offer us a deeper appreciation of Alsace’s rich viticultural heritage.

The third day is ours to enjoy at leisure. We can choose to relax in the tranquil ambiance of Hotel L’Esquisse, stroll through Colmar’s charming Old Town, or perhaps visit the nearby museums and galleries. Whether we opt to savor local cuisine at a cozy café or simply take in the beauty of the town, this day will be a perfect way to unwind and soak in the unique atmosphere of Colmar.

Glasgow, Scotland

Our adventure continues to Glasgow, Scotland. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the luxurious Cromlix hotel. Nestled just outside the city in a serene countryside setting, Cromlix offers an exquisite blend of historic charm and modern elegance, providing the perfect retreat after our daily adventures.

Day two will be dedicated to a full-day tour of Glasgow, where we’ll discover the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and iconic landmarks. From the stunning architecture of the Glasgow Cathedral to the artistic treasures of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, we’ll immerse ourselves in the unique character of this dynamic city. We’ll also have the opportunity to explore the bustling streets of the West End, known for its charming boutiques, cafes, and parks.

On the third day, we’ll have the day at our leisure. We can choose to relax and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of Cromlix, take a stroll through the nearby countryside, or return to Glasgow for more exploration on our own. Whether we opt to indulge in a leisurely afternoon tea, visit a local distillery, or simply soak in the beauty of our surroundings, this day will be the perfect way to end our stay.

Reykjavik, Iceland

After breakfast and an in-depth briefing, we will launch for our over-water crossing to Iceland. Upon arrival, transfer to the Apotek Hotel, where we will enjoy luxurious accommodations at the center of Reykjavik.

The following day after breakfast and an informative briefing, we will bid farewell and begin our individual paths back home as our journey comes to an end. En route, we’ll make two technical stops in Nuuk, Greenland and Goose Bay, Canada to refuel before continuing onwards to Bangor, Maine, to clear US Customs. For those based on the west coast of the United States, an alternate stop to clear US customs can be arranged. Afterward, we will all go our separate ways home.
